What do a 5000 year-old Asian healing tradition and a 150 year-old American healing tradition have in common? The answer is: surprisingly, quite a bit. Both Osteopathy and Acupuncture attempt to influence the body’s innate healing forces. They both recognize that any healing that takes place must occur because the body is healing itself. All the ministrations of the physician, then, are merely assistants to the healing forces already at work in the body.
