Meet Dr. Dana Anglund. He is one of the physicians on-staff here at Osteopathic Integrative Medicine. Dr. Anglund is a skilled integrative medicine practitioner who combines osteopathic manipulative medicine, homeopathy, Reiki, Theta healing, Pranic healing, the principles of acupuncture and his own energy-healing modality Divine StillPoint. He brings a unique approach to treatment that truly focuses on his patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Dr. Anglund’s approach to treating patients begins with the understanding that your body is designed to be healthy and is always doing everything it can to be in perfect health. With that in mind, Dr. Anglund’s role is to support the body with whatever it needs to heal itself. His starting point to treat any patient is to ask: why is this the best state of health your body can muster, and what is the best way to support the healing process? Using his unique integrative approach and drawing on all of the healing modalities he has studied, he supports health and healing in all parts of the whole person. Dr. Anglund treats the whole person using the five-body model. He seeks to support his patient’s health on the physical, energetic, mental, intuitive, and spirit bodies. Part of what makes Dr. Anglund’s approach to treatment so different is that he centers around the idea that humans are fully integrated beings. Thus, he understands that a patient’s thoughts, beliefs, and environment have a direct impact on health and healing. Treating issues in all five bodies in the correct sequence is a big part of why he is so successful at treating patients with chronic illnesses, gastrointestinal issues and patients who have seen doctors repeatedly only to be told, “It’s all in your head”. In addition to treating patients, Dr Anglund also teaches various aspects of healing to medical students, physicians and healers all over the country and internationally. He has traveled to the Dominican Republic twice (so far) to treat children in orphanages. When he isn’t at work, this Colorado native is practicing martial arts, learning to play the fiddle and serving as an elder at his church. He also loves to hit the ski slopes when he can. He shares his home in Longmont with his parents, and jokes that he lives with one and a half poodles, as he has a standard poodle and a miniature poodle, along with two cats.
