A little history....

The Flemming brothers built this building in 1890. They were originally from Pennsylvania. Along with their cousin Jessie Flemming, they purchased 70 acres of land to build on in Denver, which encompasses parts of the Baker neighborhood and the old 1st Avenue hotel and bank. In 1900 they incorporated the city of South Denver. They were one of the first track homebuilders.
